In the last two weeks, the civilian death toll in the Crimea conflict has almost doubled from the previous four months. The accompanying infographic shows the most recent state of the rift.
According to Reuters, Ukrainian officials are afraid that a Russian convoy of more than 250 trucks on its way to the rebel-held border may contain arms that could be used to invade Ukraine, vowing to block it. Yahoo News adds that Kiev would consider a compromise if allowed to inspect the trucks with help from the International Red Cross. Moscow has yet to respond to the compromise.
