The Effingham County Board of Commissioners proclaimed October as National Physical Therapy Month on Oct. 19. This year Spine & Sport in conjunction with APTA for Physical Therapy Month is joining the fight against obesity.

The Effingham County commissioner encourages an active and healthy lifestyle. The board urges all citizens to join in a national effort to raise health and fitness awareness. Spine & Sport requested the proclamation and strives to educate the community on the importance of fitness.

On Oct. 15, Spine & Sport lead South Effingham Middle School students in a fitness program to help them learn new and fun exercises.
