Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Tommy Irvin warns consumers to the recall of some sorbet products that have a milk ingredient not listed on the product label.

Hiland-Roberts Ice Cream of Norfolk, Neb., is recalling sorbet products manufactured for Espo’s Cucina Dolce, Inc.  Some of the sorbet contains trace amounts of milk not listed on its label, according to the company.

Those with an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.

The recalled products, Espo’s Sorbetto and Nature’s Promise Sorbetto were distributed nationally to retail stores. The products are packaged in a pint paper carton under the Espo’s Sorbetto and Nature’s Promise Sorbetto brand name.

Consumers with recalled products may either discard them or return them to place of purchase for a refund. Those with questions may call Hiland-Roberts Ice Cream at 1-800-373-6455.
