Arts council to hold kids summer camp

The Effingham County Council for the Arts invites children to enjoy its 2013 Summer Arts Camp.

The camp will take place at Ebenezer Middle School June 3-7 and will feature five classes running from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m.


Classes will start June 3 and will be available for children ages 7-15.

Visual arts sessions are broken into age groups and the fee is $150 per child for the week. Classes run from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. A half-day in visual arts is available for $75. Visual arts age groups are 7-10 and 11-15.

The theatre arts/performance class is open to children ages 11-15. The theatre arts class will give a performance June 7 open to parents and guests from 2:30-4 p.m.


Art instructors will include Lori Parker, teaching the theatre arts class, and Michael Gadomski, Aimee Pelley, Carla Luke and Marsha Lott teaching the visual arts classes. The classes will use many different materials to create paintings, photography, silkscreen, batik and much more.
