Michael Daly was presented an award for exceptional patient care by the Estill (S.C.) State Prison in his treatment of an employee who had suffered an injury. According to Donna Cox, head of ER, Daly went above and beyond to get the patient a medication at a time when the hospital pharmacy was closed and confirmed the patient’s insurance would cover the required prescription.

“We’re very proud of him,” she said.
