Jimmy Rutland, executive director of Habitat for Humanity of Effingham County, spoke to the Exchange Club of Effingham County about the houses they are building, homes that have been  completed and future plans for Habitat for Humanity of Effingham County.

He also addressed the need for continued community support of the Habitat Restore on Highway 21.

Currently, they are in need of funds to move a completed house to its site (estimated cost to move a house is $4,000).

Raffle tickets are being sold by Habitat for Humanity for a free cruise for two  on Carnival Cruise Lines (valued at $1,200). Tickets are $5 each for this fundraiser and the drawing for the free cruise will be held Dec. 13.

For more information on the raffle or how you can help Habitat for Humanity of Effingham County, call Jimmy Rutland or George Groce, development director, at 826-6433.
