Daniel Lambert celebrated his 71st birthday Tuesday and was presented with the Outstanding Volunteer award by Sheriff Jimmy McDuffie for his years of service to Effingham County.

Lambert has dedicated his life to not only helping the citizens of the county, but rescuing animals as well.
