The Exchange Club of Effingham heard about the impact the Effingham Chamber of Commerce has in the local community.
Rick Lott, Chamber executive director, spoke about the recent Effingham Day at the Capitol as well as Eggs and Issues breakfasts and candidate forums the Chamber hosts to keep members informed about legislation that affects the community.
He reviewed a list of upcoming events, such as the opening of the Mars Theatre and the Effingham Oktoberfest, that are helping to promote tourism.
The Chamber’s workforce development committee is hosting a job fair at the Effingham College and Career Academy on April 15.
Lott listed all the ways the Chamber works with local businesses to support continued growth of the county.
