Local Allstate agency owner Dusty Zeigler received the Allstate Agency Hands in the Community Award for his commitment to helping others and community service.

Because of Zeigler’s outstanding volunteerism, the Allstate Foundation awarded a $1,000 grant to the New Ebenezer Retreat Center where he volunteers.

New Ebenezer Retreat Center is a non-profit retreat and conference center and camp located near Rincon. For the past 14 years the Ebenezer ALIVE! Education program has provided overnight field trip opportunities to thousands of middle school students throughout the South.  The main focus in this program is history, environmental science and character education.

Allstate, its agents, and employees have a proud history of putting their good hands to work in supporting Georgia communities, promoting volunteerism and providing financial resources to enable local organizations to help others.

Now in its 62nd year, the Allstate Foundation has given more than $300 million in financial contributions to communities around the country and in 2013, gave $126,000 in Georgia as part of the Allstate Agency Hands in the Community Program.

“The Allstate Agency Hands in the Community Award celebrates the spirit of service and commitment to communities where we live, work and do business.” said Bob Holden, field senior vice president for Allstate’s Southeast region. “With support from The Allstate Foundation, New Ebenezer Retreat Center makes our hometown a better place.”

The Dusty Zeigler Agency is located at 335 South Walnut St. in Statesboro.
