MACON — Atlantic Southern Bank is pleased to announce the opening of their new corporate center located at 1701 Bass Rd. in Macon. The location is known as Northwinds, named by a local developer before the bank purchased the land. Corporate staff will be relocating on Monday, Aug. 20.

The $3.8 million, 10,000 square-foot facility will be home to Atlantic Southern Financial Group, the holding company for Atlantic Southern Bank. In addition to corporate offices, a retail branch with drive-thru banking and a drive-up ATM location will serve customers in the expanding north Bibb County area.

Warren and Associates of Macon are general contractors for this project which started in the fall of 2006.     

Atlantic Southern Financial Group, Inc., operates nine banking locations in the middle Georgia markets of Macon and Warner Robins and six locations in the coastal markets of Savannah, Darien, Brunswick and St. Simons Island and a loan production office in Valdosta.

The company specializes in commercial real estate and small business lending. Plans were recently announced to expand into the Florida market during the fourth quarter of 2007.
