Effingham County’s continued and expected boom helped deliver another business to the area.

Goin’ Postal has been open for nearly three weeks and had its ribbon cutting Monday morning in Fort Howard Square.

The company is a shipping and receiving store that also offers mailbox rentals, office supplies, copying and faxing.

Goin’ Postal can ship via DHL, FedEx and UPS and is going to start an eBay account. It also will establish a Western Union connection.

“This is a great opportunity for us,” store manager Travis Reynolds said. “There’s a lot of UPS and FedEx stores in Savannah. This seemed to be a great area because it is growing.”

The renovated Fort Howard Square also drew the Reynolds to their location.

“It presented an opportunity to have a nice new building with a lot of new stores next to us,” he said.

Goin’ Postal, headquartered in Zephyrhills, Fla., started five years ago and began awarding franchises three years ago. It has 19 locations in Georgia and more than 300 nationwide.

The Reynolds family — mom Debbie is also involved and dad Jim owns several Savannah businesses —called many people with Goin’ Postal franchises and got back glowing reviews.

“We can even do freight,” Reynolds said. “We can send a car to Brazil.”

Reynolds said a customer came in and asked if Goin’ Postal could ship a car to Brazil for him.

“If you have something you need to send somewhere, we can create a custom package for you,” he said.
