RINCON -- First District Congressman Buddy Carter could barely contain himself Friday. He had plenty of good news to share from Washington.
Carter told a group of Effingham County business leaders at Worksource that the U.S. economy is trending in a positive direction and he expects it to continue for awhile. He warned, however, that it needs to do even better if the federal government is going to curb the national debt of $$20.5 trillion.
The recent tax cuts that are starting to be reflected in workers' paychecks were Carter's favorite topic.
