Centennial ends Effingham County's tennis push

SPRINGFIELD -- The Centennial Knights ended a magical season by hexing Effingham County's boys tennis team Tuesday.

Hosting a Class AAAAAA playoff match for the third straight week despite finishing second in their region, the Rebels were swept 4-0.

South Effingham High School’s marching band launched its annual band camp on July 7, bringing together more than 120 student performers to prepare for the fall season and a new theme show titled “Parkour.” Under the leadership of veteran Band Director Sean McBride, students train in music, movement and teamwork during intensive nine-hour days that emphasize precision, endurance and camaraderie.
