RINCON -- LaMeisha Hunter Kelly has resigned as Rincon's city planner.

The Herald has reached out to Kelly for comment. She was not at work Friday morning.

In 2018, Kelly served as interim city manager following the resignation of Wes Sampson. She handled the day-to-operations of city government until current City Manager John Klimm was hired.

Effingham Living readers voted Kelly the Most Fabulous Government worker in Effingham County in 2018.
