Springfield residents of a subdivision plagued by flooding are seeking help for their plight from the city.

Residents of Cedar Creek told city council members of the problems their neighborhood has after heavy rain and the flood waters they can’t control.

“I know it’s been a problem for quite a while, and I know it’s been a frustrating problem,” said Springfield Mayor Jeff Northway. “I live out there, and I hear a lot about it. I would be livid. I feel your pain.”

Engineers from EMC have met with residents to discuss the causes of the problem.
