Citing that it’s the best move for his family, Nathan Clark stepped down as head football coach at South Effingham High School on Tuesday.

“I've accepted another position elsewhere at another school, and I'm excited they’ve asked me to go coach there,” Clark said. “I've had a fantastic experience here at South Effingham. And I love my time and all my experiences here with these kids in this community, and the administration and people here at South have been fantastic to me and my family.”

Clark just completed his fourth season with South Effingham High School. According to the Effingham County Schools website he has 17 years of experience as a football coach – six seasons with Lee County and eight years with Peach County.

He graduated from the University of Alabama in 2005 with a degree in physical education. In addition to coaching football, he teaches weight training at the high school.
