Effingham County Sheriff's deputies have arrested a 15-year-old juvenile in connection with a bomb threat at Effingham County High School.

Investigators have been following leads and the juvenile was arrested Wednesday. He has been charged with terroristic threats and disrupting a public school.

"We will not tolerate these type of threats," Sheriff Jimmy McDuffie said. "We will utilize recourses and prosecute any suspect who calls in a bomb threat to the fullest extent of law."
