Effingham County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested a local pastor for molesting a young child.

Deputies arrested Kenneth Terrell, 45, of Bloomingdale, at the International Ministries Church in Bloomingdale on Wednesday evening.
Terrell has been charged with child molestation and sexual battery. Investigators believe that the incidents took place in Effingham County between last August and October. The victim was under 5 years of age at the time.

Terrell is currently being held in the Effingham County Jail. He has a string of arrests and convictions from 1983-2005, including convictions for driving under the influence, habitual violator and burglary.

The investigation is still ongoing.
