State troopers from the Rincon post of the Georgia State Patrol investigated 14 traffic crashes during the month of October in Effingham County.

Sgt. 1st Class Riner said the traffic crashes resulted in 11 injuries.

Riner said troopers from Post 42 also issued 258 traffic citations in the county during the month. The total includes five arrests for driving under the influence, 77 citations for speeding, 97 seat belt violations and five child restraint violations.

Troopers also issued 289 warnings.
