Investigators with the Effingham County sheriff’s office conducted a drug bust in Springfield on Saturday at the home of two alleged drug dealers.
Nancy Price, 21, and her boyfriend Tyrell Jackson, 25, were arrested after officers executed a search warrant around 12:30 p.m. at their home at 142 Knotty Pine Drive in the Shadowbrook subdivision off Log Landing Road. Several pounds of marijuana and several ounces of cocaine, along with about $800, were confiscated.
According to Capt. Mike Bohannon, the house had been under surveillance for about a month, off and on. They found out about the alleged drug activity taking place at the residence through undercover investigative work.
The couple has been charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of a crime.
They are being held at the Effingham County Jail.
