Crossroads Academy conducts mid-year commencement

RINCON — Crossroads Academy conducted its Mid-year Commencement Ceremony to honor the senior class of 2022 at Rincon Elementary School on Saturday.

Crossroads Academy, located at 2940 Ga. Hwy 21 South, is an alternative school whose mission is to provide a structured and supportive environment that will lead to a diploma and/or career success for students who have gotten off track academically at Effingham County and South Effingham high schools for one reason or another.

Graduates from Effingham County are Gage Wayne Achtziger, Ryan Mishael Trujillo and Madison Grace Migues. South Effingham’s graduates are Undre Rashad Doss, Jack Quinton Kessler, Mercedes Marie Newman and Anthony Walker-Triplett.

In his remarks to the class, Superintendent Dr. Yancy Ford said, "Never sell yourself short. Be proud of yourself."

Crossroads Coordinator Brett Griffin told the students, "Be encouraged to try new things."
