Select students from all Effingham County Schools will be participating in the sixth annual district-wide art exhibition from March 13-16 in celebration of the visual arts in our schools and Youth Art Month.

Youth Art Month is an annual observance that emphasizes the value of art and art education for all children. It also encourages support for quality school art programs.

Last year’s event was packed with phenomenal art and a proud community.

The exhibition will be held at the Effingham College and Career Academy. It will run free and open to the public beginning March 13 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

There will be an open reception on March 14 from 5-7 p.m.

“We are asking anyone and everyone to please show your support and appreciation for these talented students by visiting the exhibition or coming to take part in the reception,” SEES art teacher Morgan Maine said. “You will leave inspired and proud of our Effingham County visual art programs.”
