WASHINGTON, D.C.—The U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry Committee Chairwoman Debbie Stabenow, D-Mich., and Ranking Member Pat Roberts, R-Kan., announced the new subcommittee positions for the 112th Congress on Wednesday.

U.S. Sen. Saxby Chambliss, R-Ga. was named ranking member for the Subcommittee on Commodities, Markets, Trade, and Risk Management. He also will serve as a member of the Subcommittee on Jobs, Rural Economic Growth, and Energy Innovation, and the Subcommittee on Conservation, Forestry and Natural Resources.

“Agriculture has been a top priority since I was first elected to Congress in 1994, and I have served on the House and Senate Agriculture Committees continuously ever since,” said Chambliss. “Through my subcommittee assignments, I will continue to be a strong voice for Georgia and all of Southern agriculture.”
