GUYTON -- There will be two runoffs in Guyton.

Three days after the election and multiple recounts in the Post 1 race for the Guyton City Council, Marshall Reiser and Tamela Mydell finished in a 216-216 tie. They will meet again in a Dec. 3 runoff election that will also feature the Post 2 race,

Hursula Pelote led the Post 2 balloting Tuesday with 200 votes to Andy Harville's 175. A candidate must receive 50 percent of the vote plus one to be seated on the council. Michael Gerwig and Sam Hartis received 42 and three votes, respectively.

In the mayoral race, Russell Deen defeated Michael Garvin 225-207.
