RINCON -- John Klimm has plenty to chew on. His city manager plate is overflowing with important items.

Hired early this month by the Rincon City Council, Klimm is about to start work on the city's annual budget. He is also involved in the process to hire a chief financial officer and police chief.

"It's going to be a baptism by fire," said Klimm, formerly the city manager in Aiken, S.C. He replaced Wes Smith, who resigned in March.
