Next round of outages scheduled

The next round of Georgia Power outages and upgrades is scheduled for March 22 and 24.

On March 22, residents and businesses on Fort Howard Road west of Dashers Landing to east of Lisa Street (not including Dashers Landing subdivision or Lisa Street) will experience an outage starting at 9 a.m. and lasting up to eight hours.
Affected areas include Williamsburg, Lost Plantation, Willowpeg, the Abbey, Wisenbaker Place, Lakeside, Stonewalk and Windsong.

The alternate date for the outage is March 23, in case of inclement weather.

Those areas to be affected on March 24 include Old Augusta Road south of Highpoint Drive to Chimney Road, Chimney Road from Old Augusta Road to Highway 21 (including Holly Lane). The outage will affect Ridge Crest, Mill Creek and the southern part of Silverwood.

That outage is expected to begin at 9 a.m. and could last eight hours. The alternate date in case of inclement weather is March 25.
Other outages scheduled for Wednesday include Fair Oaks apartments on the west side of Lisa Street. That outage is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. and will last up to four hours. The alternate date is March 25.

On Thursday, Fort Howard Square will be affected beginning at 7 a.m. and lasting up to five hours. The alternate date is March 26.

On March 26, the affected areas will be the east side of Lisa Street behind Walmart, including the Georgian Apartments, Murphy Apartments and Veranda Village apartments. That outage will start at 9 a.m. and last up to eight hours. The alternate date is March 27.
