Rincon Police Department is currently conducting a death investigation for a body found behind a local business off of Lisa Street.  

The body was discovered early today in the woods behind Mrs. Jean’s Restaurant and is a African American female ranging in age from 23-28 years old.   This is being treated as a homicide and the body has been transported to the GBI Crime Lab for an autopsy early next week. 

The release of more Information regarding the victim will be released after family has been contacted.
