Family: Married to Herlene Blake White and we have two children, Dr. Torian White of Brooklet and Tiffani Neely of Snellville.

Occupation: Baptist pastor, with 34 years of service this April. Retired business owner/operator and former school system employee of 12 years.

Place of birth/how long lived in Effingham: I am a lifelong resident of Effingham County, son of Lanier White Sr. and the late Lillie White.

Why I’m running:

Most important I am a servant with a passion to make a difference wherever I serve. The record will show this is not my first time seeking to serve the county I love as an elected official. I care about all in our school system and having been in the “trenches” I understand the plight of those in the system, parents, students, faculty and staff. I will bring to the board a ground level perspective and some much needed diversity.
I do not have any personal agenda, only what is best for the people of this prosperous county, present and future. I want to be a part of improving our school system and attract more highly skilled teachers to join those we presently have. My desire is to be a team player drawing from my many years of leadership and leadership training which included Leadership Effingham and Leadership East Georgia.
