Good restaurants, not liquor, needed

Dear Editor,

Concerning the upcoming vote in Effingham, please call it what it is, a vote for bars and liquor. Dressing it up as full service restaurants is like a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

As far as all the people who are moving into Effingham, ever wonder why they are leaving Chatham and coming here? The family values.

Yes, they are willing to pay the higher taxes in order to move here. Why should we lower our standards and values? If Pooler is so great, move there.

We don’t need full service restaurants. We need restaurants with good service and food.

It is freedom and choice and I plan on making a good one — no.
