The Effingham County girls defeated Westlake 3-0 in the first round of the Class AAAAAA state tennis tournament while the Rebel boys dropped a 4-1 decision to North Atlanta.
The ECHS girls are scheduled to play at Buford on Tuesday in the Sweet Sixteen of state.
