GUYTON -- Senior running back Cam Edwards rushed 33 times for 232 yards and three touchdowns to lead South Effingham to a 28-22 win in their season-ending game against Bradwell Institute on Friday.

Edwards scored on runs of 23, 4 and 44 yards in the cold, rainy Region 2-AAAAAA contest at The Corral. The Mustangs (2-8, 1-5) tallied their first score on a 69-yard pass from Kaden De Genaro to Joell Laldee early in the opening quarter.

The Tigers (0-9, 0-6) entered the fourth quarter with just under 100 total yards but scored on a 70-yard pass with 1:54 to go. After an unsuccessful onside kick, however, South Effingham ran out the clock.
