Former South Effingham track star Darius Scott , son of Roger Scott Sr. and Sonja Scott, earned All-America status and a national championship in the triple jump in the recent AAU Junior Olympics in Des Moines, Iowa. On his last jump, Scott covered 50 feet, 6 1/4 inches to set break his personal record by more than one and a half feet.
