South Effingham blasts Brunswick with big first inning

South Effingham erupted for five first-inning runs en route to an 8-0 victory at Brunswick on Thursday.

Sarah Messex was the Mustangs' big hitter in the five-inning affair, delivering three RBI. She had two hits and a sacrifice fly.

Jaden Burns also swatted two hits for South Effingham, driving in one run. Chloe Turner scored twice.

Bailey Kendziorski was the winning pitcher, allowing five hits and no walks. She fanned eight.
