The South Effingham Mustangs steamrolled their fifth and sixth opponents without a loss Saturday. Both victories featured a stellar individual performance. In the opening 14-1 pasting of Vidalia, Hailey Pinette drove in five runs with two hits, including a three-run homer. Kastin Belogorska was the star in the second game, pitching a perfect game in an 8-0 rout of Long County. She fanned 10 batters. The Mustangs have outscored their opponents 45-2 this season. Pinette wasn't lone plate standout in the first game. Cheyenne Miller tallied three hits and three RBI, and Alex Brown, Natalie Easterling and Rachel Mixon each contributed two safeties. All drove in at least one run. Brown led the offense in the win over Long County with four hits and three RBI. Belogorska and Chloe Strickland chipped in two hits apiece. The Mustangs are set to host Effingham County Tuesday at 6 p.m. It will be the Lady Rebels' opener as their game against Statesboro was rained out last week.
