ATHENS — Seventh-ranked Georgia (41-23-1) will face top-ranked Miami (52-9) Saturday night at the College World Series in Omaha, Neb. First pitch has been set for 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.
The opening game of the 2008 CWS will feature Stanford versus Florida State at 2 p.m. ET.
It will mark the third time in Georgia’s six CWS trips that it will open with a night game. In 1987, Georgia faced Stanford while in 1990 the Bulldogs squared off against Miss. State.
