Four Rebels named all-subregion
Dotson, Scott and Tyler named to the first team

Four Effingham County High School players were named to the all-Region 3-AAAA South by a vote of subregion coaches.

Senior third baseman Jaime Tyler, junior center fielder Dylan Scott and sophomore pitcher/first baseman Zach Dotson were named to the first team.

Dotson was named as the all-subregion designated hitter.

Senior pitcher/outfielder Steven Proctor was named honorable mention.

The Rebels’ season ended last week in a loss to No. 4-ranked Woodward Academy in the first round of the Class AAAA state playoffs.

Subregion champion Wayne County had two first-team  selections and two honorable mentions.

Brunswick’s Cason Mobley was named subregion player of the year and was one of five Pirates named to the first team.
