Game 1: Richmond Hill 13, Effingham County 12. Jacob Thrash scored the winning run in the fifth inning off Cody Rushing's sacrifice fly to right field. Raul Rodriquez earned the win and Cody Ward was charged with the loss. Effingham's Jared Slater led all batters, going 3-for-3.
Game 2: Metter 5, Warner Robins 2. Jordan Wiley pitched a complete game for the win. He limited Warner Robins to three hits. Jeremy Bass led Metter at the plate with two hits. Matt Stoner was charged with the loss, pitching four innings.
Game 3: Ware County 5, Baldwin County 1. Jed Thigpen pitched a complete game for the win. Ben Presswood was charged with the loss.
Game 4: Fitzgerald 4, Haralson County 3. Brad Taylor pitched a complete game — five innings — for the win. Jeremy Singleton was charged with the loss.
Game 5: Effingham County 9, Warner Robins 1. Waylon Parrish pitched a one-hit complete game — five innings — for the win. Cody Ward went 2-for-3 with a double and scored two runs. Jonathan Sharpe went 2-for-2 with a double and scored a run. Brycent Chatfield was charged with the loss. Warner Robins is eliminated.
Game 6: Baldwin County 11, Haralson County 1. Haralson County is eliminated.
Game 7: Richmond Hill 10, Metter 6. Metter jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first inning, only to give up four runs in the bottom half. The first inning lasted 50 minutes. There was no more scoring until Metter added a run in the fourth. Richmond Hill responded with six runs and the game was called because of the two hour time limit. John Phifer earned the win for Richmond Hill and Grant Hendricks was charged with the loss. For the Hill, Jeremy Goolsby went 1-for-3 with a double and scored two runs. Raul Rodriquez went 1-for-2, was hit by a pitch and scored two runs. Cody Rushing went 1-for-2 and scored two runs. For Metter, Blake Williams went 1-for-1, walked twice and scored two runs. Derek Lindsey went 1-for-2 with two walks and he scored two runs.
Game 8: Ware County 9, Fitzgerald 3. Trailing 3-1 in the fifth inning with two outs , the Ware County Gators woke up their bats, pounding five consecutive hits, including three doubles to score six runs. Blake Cannon pitched for the win, while Jake Atkinson was charged with the loss. For the Gators, Ryan King went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored, Ryan Carter went 2-for-4 with an RBI, run scored and a double. Jason Thomas knocked in two runs and scored a run while going 1-for-3, TJ Musgrove went 2-for-3 scoring a run and Bryant Hayman went 2-for-2, walked, scored a run and knocked in a run. For the Purple Hurricanes, Ward Massee went 2-for-2 and scored a run and Caleb Sheppard went 1-for 2 with a walk and a run.
Game 9: Baldwin County 10, Metter 1. Metter is eliminated.
Game 10: Fitzgerald 6, Effingham County 2. Ward Massee earned the win for the Purple Hurricanes. He also drove in two runs with a double in left field in the fifth inning to break a 2-2 tie. For Effingham, Austin Purnell and Jared Slater each doubled and Jonathan Sharpe went 2-for-2. Effingham is eliminated.
Game 11: Richmond Hill 4, Ware County 2. Raul Rodriquez earned the win, going five innings. Cody Crow pitched the final two innings for the save. It was the first time Richmond Hill completed a seven inning game in the tournament. Ware County's Kevin Hadaway was charged with the loss. At the plate for the Hill, Steven Boaen, Rodriquez, Kevin Wilson and Crow each had two hits. For the Gators, Ryan King went 3-for-3.
Game 12: Baldwin County 10, Fitzgerald 2. Clint Crawley hit the tournament's only outside the park homerun, with a gargantuan blast over the left field fence for Baldwin County. Chambers earned the win for Baldwin County. Garrett Wright was charged with the loss. Fitzgerald is eliminated.
Semi-finals: Baldwin County 3, Ware County 2. Baldwin scored the go-ahead run in the top of the seventh. Ben Prestwood led off the inning with a hit and later scored off Josh Meeks' single. Clint crawley went 2-for-3 for Baldwin and Stephen Wheeler doubled. For the Gators, Ryan King, Ryan Carter, Jed Thigpen and Bryant Hayman each doubled. Thigpen was charged with the loss. Prestwood earned the win. Both pitchers went seven innings.
Championship: Baldwin County 6, Richmond Hill 4 (9 innings). Baldwin scored two runs in the top of the ninth and shut down the Wildcats' offense to force a second game. Richmond Hill sent the game into extra-innings when Raul Rodriquez scored in the seventh inning. Baldwin scored two in the eighth, only to have the Wildcats tie it again.
If game: Baldwin County 12, Richmond Hill 3 (4 innings). The thunderstorm seemed to have sparked Baldwin, because when play resumed after a 30 minute delay, Baldwin struck for eight runs in the bottom of the third inning to break a 2-2 tie and never looked back. Baldwin County repeats as GRPA Senior boys champions.
