Staff report

It’s hard enough winning a race once on Oglethorpe Speedway Park’s half-mile clay track, but winning it twice requires something special.

Apparently, Bobby Morris of Guyton had something special Friday night. Racing his No. 12 Ford Mustang, he crossed the finish line first in both Red Diamond Homes Mini Stocks Features.

Guyton’s Daylon Barnard, who won the previous week, finished second in the first race. Chris Johnson, also from Guyton, finished fourth in the first feature and third in the second.

Morris wasn’t the only winner from Guyton at OSP.

Danny Harrington, racing his No. 28 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier won the Four Star Security 440’s second feature, while finishing fourth in the first race.

Darrell Williams from Guyton won the Boo-Koo Late Models first feature in his No. 18 2007 Monte Carlo.

Brian Smith of Pembroke won the Pure Stocks race.
