The Mustangs aren’t allowing the heat to slow them down.

South Effingham High School coach Greg Manior said the team has shown improvement since the first day of football practice.

“We’re showing a little improvement each day but we still have a long way to go,” he said. “We’re just trying to get things put together.”

Most importantly, the first week of practice was a healthy one, with no injuries reported.
