Another dominating pitching performance by Ethan Johnson propelled Effingham County to a 9-0 victory over Islands in Savannah on Monday.

Johnson, a senior right-hander, allowed three hits and fanned seven while doing the distance. He struck out 16 in a shutout over Southeast Bulloch in his last start.

The Rebels' top five hitters did the bulk of their offensive damage as Christian Campbell, Jordan Rahn, Ryan Harley, Jerid Stokes and JR Lonon each collected at least one RBI. They combined for all of Effingham County's seven hits and each scored a run except Stokes.

Chase Howze also crossed the plate for Effingham County (14-3).
