Johnson takes sting out of Yellow Jackets

SPRINGFIELD -- Effingham County ace Ethan Johnson went the distance Thursday night, tossing a three-hit, 6-0 shutout of the Southeast Bulloch Yellow Jackets at Rebel Field.

Johnson logged eight strikeouts.

The Rebels' offensive leader was Jordan Rahn, who slugged two hits in three at-bats. He knocked in three runs.

Ryan Harley and Chandler Hinely also had two hits for Effingham County (8-3).

The Rebels' got an RBI each from JR Lonon and Austin Mealor.

Lonon had two stolen bases and Jerid Stokes had one.
