Larry Hall, affectionately known as the L-Train, is ripping through defenses like a locomotive and rewriting the history books.

The Rainy River Community College freshman racked up 269 yards on 38 carries and scored a touchdown in the Voyageurs 14-0 win over Itasca on Oct. 6.

Hall, who is a former South Effingham Mustang, broke the Rainy River single game record and through seven games has already broken the rushing yards in a season record. He has 802 yards.

Hall got a rest Saturday as the Voyageurs were off.

The school located in International Falls, Minn. resumes play on Oct. 20 against Northland.

Hall currently leads the Minnesota Community College Conference in rushing.
