JB Wendelken (Winston-Salem Dash) — Wendelken struck out six and walked one in his start Sunday but allowed four earned runs in six innings. For the year, he is 2-1 with an ERA of 4.13, with 23 strikeouts and just three walks in 28 1/3 innings. He also has allowed only one home run.

Andrew Martin (East Georgia State College) — Martin is 2-1, allowing 10 earned runs on 20 hits and six walks while striking out three in 14 innings for the Bobcats.

Alec Arnsdorff (Georgia Highlands College) — Arnsdorff, a freshman catcher, has played in 16 games and is 2-for-24 with one run scored and two RBIs for the Chargers.

Cal Baker (Georgia Southern University) — Baker is 2-for-24 in eight games, starting seven of them. He has scored five runs.

Ryan Frederick (GSU) —For the season, he is 3-0 with a 4.03 ERA, striking out 31 and walking 12 while allowing 42 hits in 38 innings. He has appeared in 15 games, seven of them starts.

Eric Knox (Georgia Tech) — Knox, a freshman outfielder for the Yellow Jackets, is 3-for-10 with one double, one RBI and one run scored in 10 games.

Dylan Griffin (Georgia Southwestern State University) — A freshman catcher, Griffin is 14-for-50 (.280) with a double and eight RBIs for the Hurricanes.

Zack Smith (Georgia Southwestern State University) — Smith is 2-5 in 16 games, allowing 33 earned runs in 47 2/3 innings. He has allowed 55 hits, walked 24 and struck out 36.

Spencer Harvey (Middle Georgia State College) — Harvey is hitting .256 (20-for-78) with four doubles and 15 RBIs.

Steven Vaughn (Missouri Southern State University) — A senior, Vaughn has appeared in 30 games and has registered six saves. He is 3-3 with a 2.88 ERA, having allowed 13 earned runs on 27 hits in 40 2/3 innings. He has walked 15 and struck out 37.

Alexis Mercer (Armstrong Atlantic State University) — Mercer and the Pirates are awaiting the May 5 announcement for  field in the Division II softball championships.

Courtney Jenkins (East Georgia State College) — The sophomore went 7-7 with an ERA of 3.07, striking out 86 while allowing 53 earned runs on 124 hits and 42 walks in 120 2/3 innings. She was also 24-of-89 (.270) at the plate with one homer, five doubles and 11 RBIs.

Maddie Evans (Reinhardt University) — Evans is 5-for-20 with four runs scored and five RBIs for the Eagles (41-8). Reinhardt won the Appalachian Athletic Conference tournament.

Katie Rietkovich (Reinhardt University) — Rietkovich is hitting .322 with 15 home runs, five doubles, one triple and 40 RBIs for the Eagles. She was named to the all-AAC team.

Shelby Zipperer (University of South Carolina-Beaufort) — Zipperer, a junior outfielder, is hitting. 304 with seven doubles, one triple, six homers and 24 RBIs for the Sand Sharks (35-7).
