Meet the Eagles on Aug. 18

The Georgia Southern football program will sponsor a Little Eagles camp and a Meet the Eagles Day on Aug. 18.  
The Little Eagles camp takes place from 9-11 a.m. at Paulson Stadium. Registration is from 9-9:30 a.m. As part of the camp festivities, the Little Eagles will run on the field with the banner, music, PA, and the video scoreboard.  

Meet the Eagles Day begins at 11 a.m. in the Bishop Field House, where schedule cards and the 2007 football posters will be available. GUS and the entire Georgia Southern Football team, including former Effingham County High School standout Lynon Jefferson and South Effingham standout Patrick Bolen, and coaching staff will sign autographs.  

Cheerleaders also will be on hand signing autographs, meeting and greeting the fans and selling bobblehead dolls.  

The athletics marketing staff will hand out Chick-Fil-A coupons, sandwiches to the kids and the Chick-Fil-A cow will attend. Season tickets, jerseys and football media guides will be on sale. Southern Boosters information packets also will be available.

The Eagles, led by first-year head coach Chris Hatcher, will play six games at Paulson Stadium this fall.
Georgia Southern returns 17 starters and 21 seniors to lead the “Hatch Attack.” The Eagles are aiming to make their 17th NCAA Football Championship Subdivision playoff appearance and add to their unprecedented six national championships.

• Oct. 6 — South Dakota State (2 p.m.) Family Day
• Oct. 27 — The Citadel (2 p.m.) Homecoming
• Nov. 10 — Furman (2 p.m.) Blue Out Paulson Stadium
