Before the football season has started, South Effingham has received a break.

The Mustangs will have six home games rather than five.

The team’s opening contest on Aug. 31 against Groves has been moved from Garden City to the Corral.

SEHS coach Greg Manior said there was a mix up with Garden City Stadium on Aug. 31.

Savannah Christian is scheduled to play Calvary Day School that day.

Rather than move the game to Saturday, Groves and SEHS decided to move the game to South Effingham.

Chatham County Board of Education Athletic Director Peggy Johnson was unavailable for comment.
