GUYTON -- The South Effingham Mustangs won their fourth straight game Wednesday, blanking Ware County 2-0 to move to 9-8 overall and 2-0 in Region 2-AAAAA.

Pitchers Jakob Valleroy and Nick Milbrandt handcuffed the Gators, allowing three hits and no earned runs. Milbrandt worked the last 1 2/3 innings to get a save.

Valleroy and Mildbrandt also figured in the scoring, hitting back-to-back doubles in the first inning.

The Mustangs, 9-4 since an 0-4 start, also got hits from Caleb Radcliffe, Brad Ogle, Jayce Warren and Grayson Spendiff.
