Mustangs jolt Jackets with early outburst

GUYTON -- The  Wayne County Yellow Jackets were buried by a first-half avalanche Tuesday.

The South Effingham Mustangs (5-4-2, 3-1)  stunned the Yellow Jackets (2-7, 1-1) with five first-half goals, including four by Jaydon Parrish, en route to a  6-0 victory. Parrish scored his fifth goal with 17:57 left in the game.

The game was barely 10 minutes old when Parrish posted his first score. Avery Hoffman, with an assist from Parrish, got on the board three minutes later.

Parrish tallied his second goal with 24:05 left in the first half and scored again just 15 seconds later. His fourth goal came at the 16:06 mark.
