Connect Savannah and the Charles H. Morris Center will host the official Savannah Rock ‘n Roll Marathon Pasta Party and Concert on Friday night from 5-9 p.m.  It’s a chance for runners and race enthusiasts to "carbo-load" and enjoy music on the eve of the running of the third annual Savannah Rock ‘n Roll Marathon and Half Marathon.

More than 20,000 runners are expected to toe the start line at the corner of Bay and Bull streets in Savannah for Saturday’s 7 a.m. start.

The Official Pasta Party and Concert is open to marathon runners and those just looking for a healthy dinner and music the night before the race.  Pasta, chicken, salad and dessert are on the menu catered by the Pirates’ House restaurant.

The evening also features two bands playing the Southern Eagle Stage.  The Fabulous Equinox Orchestra is first up with a mix of Sinatra, Michael Buble, Blues Brothers and Motown tunes.  The second half of the evening will feature the country and Southern rock music of the Blue Dogs, the "rock roots" band out of Charleston, S.C.

Tickets for the Pasta Party and concert are $25, with gluten-free meals available at $3 extra.  Beer, wine and sodas will be available for purchase.  Tickets can be purchased at www.connectsavannah.com, at the Marathon Expo, or at the Morris Center the night of the show.

The Charles H. Morris Center is located at 10 E. Broad St. in Savannah.
