Savannah Christian ready to raid Richmond Hill football team on Friday

Jordan had five tackles and forced a fumble in Savannah Christian's blowout win over rival Savannah Country Day.

Savannah Christian looks to make it three wins in a row on Friday when they travel to Richmond Hill for a 7:30 p.m. game.

The Red Raiders opened the football season with two consecutive wins, defeating Calvary Day School 42-7 and Savannah Country Day 49-6.

Richmond Hill split its first two games, defeating Bryan County 3-0 and losing to Tattnall County 33-0.
Last season the Red Raiders defeated Richmond Hill 21-0.

Savannah Christian boasts several athletes from Effingham County, including Jordan Hill, Sam Grainger, Brandon Sumner, Tyler Sumner and Jason Hinely.

In last Friday’s win over Country Day, Tyler Sumner caught four passes for 71 yards and a touchdown.

On defense, Hill made five individual tackles and forced a fumble, while Brandon Sumner made two tackles, blocked a punt, deflected a pass and recovered a fumble.
