The South Effingham Lady Mustangs won their 12th straight match without a loss Tuesday. The Lady Mustangs won at Effingham County 4-1.
No. 1 singles player Dakota Wilkes notched the Lady Rebels' lone win, a 6-1, 6-4 decision over Mallori Jenkins. In the other singles matches, Kayla Rogers defeated Madison Farmer 6-2, 6-0 and Grace Bentley topped Anna Wicord 6-1, 6-1.
In doubles, South Effingham's Mackenzie Dennison/Deanna Gunnels beat Hayden Cowart/Caroline Morgan and Hanna Sowers/Mia Vasher upended Lauren Usher/Kaycee Kessler 6-0, 6-1.
South Effingham won the boys match 3-2.
Martin Caper got a win for the Rebels by downing Zan Kreyenbuhl 6-4, 7-5 in No. 1 singles. In the other singles matches, the Mustangs' Reece Allen (7-6, 6-7, 7-6) and Hunter Wainright (4-6, 6-3, 7-6) defeated Clark Heller and Macen Evans, respectively.
Effingham County's Colin Woodard/Zachary Wilkes topped Nick Walbert/Tommy Tapley 6-4, 3-6, 7-6) in No. 1 doubles. In No. 2 doubles, South Effingham's Miguel Rodriguez/Isiah Scott prevailed over Jaymason Schroeder/Tate Hendrix 6-0, 6-0.
